Former EastEnders star Matt Lapinkas has been admitted to hospital with a mystery illness.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the actor, 32, told his followers that he has 'something wrong with my liver' but is so far unsure of the cause of his ailment.

Matt, who played Anthony Moon in the BBC soap, explained he'll undergo tests at St Peter's hospital in Chertsey, Surrey on Friday to determine what exactly is wrong with him.

After previously sharing an image of his 'urgent referral' card and telling how doctors are 'keeping' me in, Matt then shared a message to his stories thanking people for their support.

Giving an update to his fans, he said: 'Thank you all for your support and msg, means loads! I'm back home now with further tests tomorrow and Saturday. 

'Basically, I have something wrong with my liver and it needs looking into.
