On Monday, Natalie Portman was investigated by New South Wales police for enjoying a leisurely boat ride amid the Sydney lockdown

And days after being questioned by authorities, the Hollywood star was spotted looking downcast while at Parsley Bay beach in Sydney.

The 40-year-old appeared to be in deep thought as she walked across the seaside shore.

Given the winter chill in Sydney, Natalie kept warm in a pair of stone wash jeans, teamed with a grey T-shirt and an oversized blue cardigan.

Her brown locks were casually swept up in a pony, and kept in place on the windy beach with her trendy sunglasses.

She also kept COVID-safe by donning a reusable navy facemask.

Natalie, who has been in Sydney since last year working on the latest instalment of Thor: Love and Thunder, appeared to be at the beach with her two children.

In the past, Natalie has attended NRL Football games in support of celebrity friend Russel Crowe's team South Sydney Rabbitohs.

And on Friday, she seemed to be a true fan as she carried a white cap, a popular piece of merchandise from the iconic team.

Daily Mail Australia this week published pictures of Natalie, her husband Benjamin and A-list friend Sacha Baron Cohen cruising about Sydney's north on a rented boat with each of their children.

Locals fumed about the high profile group's Monday morning activity given greater Sydney residents have been ordered to stay home except for 'essential' reasons, due to an alarming outbreak of the highly infectious Delta variant.

A NSW Police Force spokeswoman had confirmed officers were probing the boat excursion earlier on Friday.

'NSW Police have been made aware of community concerns regarding a boat ride and are conducting inquiries into the matter,' the spokeswoman said.

Pictures show the two clans appeared in good spirits they lapped up the winter sunshine in the city's northern beaches region.

Later in the evening, Police said they are taking 'no further action' following an investigation into the celebrity lockdown boat ride after community outrage.

In a statement to Daily Mail Australia on Friday evening, a spokesperson for NSW police said: 'Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command received information about a group on a boat on Monday 5 July 2021, potentially breaching Public Health Orders (PHOs).

'Police have reviewed the information and confirm the activity, and the number of people in the group, complied with the PHOs in force at that time. There will be no further police action taken'.

But the group jaunt wasn't seen as favourably by locals, who took to social media to vent.

'So nice that Hollywood celebs get to enjoy Sydney Harbour during lockdown,' tweeted Australian BBC correspondent Frances Mao.
