Tahlia Giumelli has revealed the big decision she and fiancé Tom Burgess have made about their family.

The model, 28, announced on Monday that she and the NRL star, 29, wouldn't show their kids' faces on social media any more, in a lengthy Instagram post.

Explaining their decision, Giumelli said that 'at the end of the day I have to trust my mum instincts'.

The mother of two wrote: 'Every few months Tom and I sit down together (usually over dinner, just the two of us) and discuss our next few steps we want to take as a family.'

'It's a way to ensure we are both on the same team and support each other's individual goals,' she continued.

'One thing Tom and I discussed recently is that going forward we have made the decision to avoid sharing our children's faces on social media.

'I know this is a big change and that doesn't mean we won't be showing what we do as a family but as our babies grow and turn into little girls we want to try and protect them as much as possible.'

The Bras N Things model added: 'They didn't ask for any of this and and at the end of the day I have to trust my mum instincts and know I'm making the best decision for them right now.

'I don't know if this is sustainable or if we can even police it outside of our own social medias and I don't know if we will change our minds but for now that's what we will be doing (it's also something we have asked family and friends to do as well).

'I hope so many of you understand. Our girls are always our first priority so now you'll just be stuck seeing my head on your newsfeed more often.'
