She's been living life to the fullest since partnering up with rapper Machine Gun Kelly last year.

And Megan Fox revealed Monday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live that her quest for new experiences included an ayahuasca trip in Costa Rica with her boyfriend that sent her to the depths of 'hell.'

Despite how horrifying her drug trip sounded, the 35-year-old Jennifer's Body star told guest host Arsenio Hall that it was actually therapeutic.

'So we went to Costa Rico to do ayahuasca in an indigenous setting,' she shared, adding that it wasn't the glamorous 'five-star' experience she had been expecting.

'You don't get to eat after, like, 1:00 p.m.,' she shared. 'You have to walk a long distance. You can't shower because they're in a drought. You have to respect the rainforest. Nothing glamorous about it.'

She explained that the ceremonies began with 'vomitivo,' in which attendees drank a plant-based concoction that made them vomit.

Has its downsides: The Costa Rican trip wasn't glamorous, as they could barely shower and couldn't eat in the evenings, and they had to induce vomiting before their drug trips

Celebrities who have tried ayahuasca...

Sting: '[I felt] something coursing through every cell in my body — like an intelligence searching everything. And I am wired to the entire cosmos! I see a crack in the ground and inside I see a flower growing ... it's my brother – everything! And I realise for the first time this is the only genuine, religious experience I’ve ever had!'

Lindsay Lohan: 'I did ayahuasca, it changed my life ... [I let go of the] wreckage of my past.'

Chelsea Handler: 'I had all these beautiful imageries of my childhood and me and my sister laughing on a kayak, and all these beautiful things with me and my sister. So [my experience] was very much about opening my mind to loving my sister, and not being so hard on her.'

James Scott: 'I hallucinated for four to six hours ... It was truly the most important thing I have ever done. I came back a very different person.'

'So you have to vomit? There's no way out of that?' Arsenio asked.

'You can't get out of it,' she replied to the audience's laughter. 'And you have to vomit a certain amount before they let you get back with everyone. So you're like cheering on everyone as they throw up,' she joked, adding that it was a good 'bonding experience.'

Megan said that the two took ayahuasca on three different nights, with a different 'trip' each time.

'Everybody's journey is different,' she explained. 'The second night I went to hell for eternity. And just knowing eternity is like torture in itself because there's no beginning, middle or end. So you have like a real ego death.'

But the Transformers star said the terrors of her mental hell were like a particularly potent kind of therapy.

'This is a medicine that goes — it surpasses anything you could do with talk therapy or hypnotherapy, any of those things,' she continued.

'It just goes straight into your soul and takes you into your psychological prison you hold yourself in. It's your own version of hell. And I was definitely there.'

The ayahuasca trip seems to have been a longtime goal for Megan, who shared with Us Weekly in 2019 that she wanted to try out the experience with her then-husband Brian Austin Green.

'I’m really into Shamanism, so I’m learning a lot about that.

'I’ve read maybe 12 or 14 books on it now, so I’m getting into that and I’m nearing closer,' she explained.

'I’m not someone who does hallucinogenics, but I’m nearing closer [to] wanting to go on an Ayahuasca journey to meet myself, transcend, have the little death, come out the other side.

Unfortunately, Brian wasn't on board for a trip himself, or even to watch her do it.

Elsewhere in her appearance, Megan claimed that her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly (given name: Colson Baker) had never had a serious relationship prior to coupling up with her.

'He's going to love how much I'm divulging all of his secrets,' she joked, before adding, 'but he's never been in a relationship before.'

VOMITING THEN A TEN HOUR TRIP

Ayahuasca, or yage, contains Dimethyltryptamine, known as DMT.

Used in South America, especially in the Amazon basin, Ayahuasca is a drink produced from the stem bark of the vines Banisteriopsis caapi and B. inebrians.
