Gwyneth Paltrow wore double denim for demolition work on Monday's episode of Celebrity IOU on HGTV.

The 48-year-old actress enlisted Jonathan and Drew Scott, both 43, to transform a West Hollywood condo for her assistant Kevin.

She revealed to the twin brothers that Kevin has been her assistant for the past 11 years and she considered him family and wanted to help him redesign his home, which was clearly in need of work.

Kevin, she said, never owned a home before and had been saving up for a 'really long time''.

'This is his forever home,' Gwyneth said. 'He has been an incredible constant in my life. I trust him with everything. He's my right hand man. He knows where all the bodies are buried.'

She said that Kevin was such a good person and started to cry when she thought about being able to do something for him.

'At some point, we formed something that seems really deeper than colleagues,' Gwyneth said. 'It really feels like family.'

Gwyneth said she went house hunting with Kevin and helped him find this place.

'I don't fancy myself as an expert,' Gwyneth said. 'I think I have good taste. Although I think everyone thinks that I have good taste.'

Kevin had gone away for four weeks so that gave Gwyneth and the Property Brothers time to transform that space.

Gwyneth told them she had already put a lot of thought into how to redo the condo.

'Spatially it is a little awkward so it needs a master plan that will make it work as a whole,' she said of Kevin's condo layout.

The next day Gwyneth, wearing a denim outfit, showed up to help do the demolition work and tried to help out where she could.

'I'm so not a bad ass,' she said later to the camera. 'I think I humiliated myself.'

She added that it felt good to break walls and cabinets. 'Once you kind of get into it, it felt pretty good.'

Gwyneth quipped that her superpower in the next Avengers movie would be removing sinks.
