Harrison Ford's body double was spotted on the set of Indiana Jones 5 on Wednesday, as he trod the streets of Glasgow, where the Scottish city was changed into Manhattan for the blockbuster.

The actor, 76, has been forced to take a break from filming for three months as he recovers from a shoulder injury sustained on set yet his body double has been working hard in his place.

The Scottish city looked unrecognisable on Wednesday, dressed with yellow cabs, American flags and NYPD firetrucks for scenes for the upcoming action sequel.

Crew dressed in their every day clothes were spotted sat on top of the floats as they tested out the scene in a deserted car park.

The floats were adorned with various messages, including 'A giant leap for mankind!' and 'Welcome Apollo 11 astronauts'.

The group was then seen walking close together and waving US flags above their heads and an old school New York Police Department car was also brought in for the scene to make it look as authentic as possible.

Harrison has been forced to delay filming for the new film for three months due to an injury but production for the upcoming blockbuster appears to still be full steam ahead.

Despite sparking fears he may require surgery to fix his shoulder injury, Harrison already seems to be well on the road to recovery as he headed out for a walk for his birthday.

On Tuesday morning the actor was spotted grabbing lunch in Selfridges where he delighted one lucky fan.

The icon was without his shoulder sling which he had been wearing following the injury he sustained on the set just three weeks ago.

Harrison took off his green mask and bent down to pose with the mother of writer and The Significance Of R blogger Marie at the deli counter of Selfridges in London.

Marie from Somerset wrote on her Twitter: 'They say 'Never meet your idols'! Thats simply BS! 'How about bumping into them in Selfridges food-hall during lunch at the deli counter on your birthday!
