Love Island bosses have denied claims that couple Millie Court and Liam Reardon romped while in the hideaway.

It was reported by The Sun on Sunday that scenes between the fashion buyer's administrator, 24, and Welsh bricklayer, 21, became 'too X-rated' to be shown on TV.

However a spokesperson for the ITV2 reality show has refuted the claims, telling MailOnline in a statement: 'This is completely untrue.'

On Tuesday's episode, Millie and Liam made their way to the hideaway for a private night of passion.

After winning Monday's Spit The Roast Challenge, Millie was seen to receive a text reading: 'Liam and Millie. As the winners of today's challenge you get to spend the night in the Hideaway. #letsgetiton #turnuptheheat'.

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Millie said: 'It's going to be nice to be away from everybody and have some alone time. I think it'll be really nice.'

Following on from her thoughts, Liam went on: 'I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be nice to have some time to ourselves.'

Romance: A spokesperson for the show refuted the claims the pair 'romped' in the hideaway and scenes had to be cut, telling MailOnline in a statement: 'This is completely untrue'

The pair head to Hideaway and Millie gives Liam a massage, and she was dressed in a Halloween nurse costume and fishnet tights.

Reflecting on their time on the show, Liam asked: 'How did you picture things happening?, to which Millie said: 'I thought I would find someone but I didn't think I would find someone straight away and this easily.'

But The Sun claimed that things became 'quite explicit' between the pair and said that scenes had to be cut so that it wasn't too X-rated for TV, and thus lead viewers to complain to Ofcom.

A source said: 'They romped over the bed covers and it went on for ages. The footage was quite explicit and producers were miffed because they couldn't air any of it.

'Millie spent a long time straddling Liam and stripped off her nurse's outfit.

'It meant that the footage had to be cut cleverly for broadcast and video editors had to get creative. At least they are genuinely attracted to each other.'

The publication also claimed that show producers were 'mindful' of not getting complaints to Ofcom for scenes being too 'explicit'.

Liam and Millie began their romance after they were recoupled together, he was previously coupled with Faye Winter.

Meanwhile, Liam's sister Niamh discussed his romance with Millie with The Mirror, saying that she rated it 'an eight' and even said she thought they could have a long-lasting relationship after the show.

She claimed: 'I do think they could work as a couple long-term from what I can see.

'They seem to get on really, really well. He has only had one girlfriend. His ex was really bubbly and Millie seems bubbly.

'He has his wedding song picked already. It’s Ain’t No Mountain High Enough – the Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell version. So she’s got to like that. He absolutely loves it.'
