Shirley Ballas rushed to A&E after slicing her hand open on a knife on Monday morning.
The Strictly Come Dancing head judge, 60, kept her Instagram followers up to date with her hospital visit, explaining NHS staff were checking if any glass was in the wound and if the tendon needed 'sewing up'.
She told fans: 'This morning, I sliced my hand and it went so deep that it’s really really through the flesh.

'There was blood everywhere, so I’m now at A&E and I think I’m going to have a few stitches. Watch this space.'
Giving an update later, she explained: 'I’m in X-Ray because they have to check if there is any glass in there, I think it’s gone all the way through to the tendons so they’re going to send me to another hospital.'
Shirley could be seen wearing her mask as she sat in her hospital bed and later a waiting room before going into a treatment room.
