The Bachelor is filmed in advance and there are plenty of people - including the cast, crew and publicists - who know the outcome. Jimmy himself has stated he picked a winner and is happily in love. It's possible one of these insiders leaked the result, causing a surge in online bets. If someone has leaked the result, then Channel 10 and producers Warner Bros. will no doubt be launching an internal 'mole hunt' to find the culprit. A leak isn't beyond the realm of possibility, as last-minute betting shifts for this year's season of MasterChef strongly suggested the outcome had been compromised. However, there are several other reasons why Holly may have such short odds. For example, the bookies may have researched her chances of winning based on fan speculation online or by analysing trailers or other publicity material. They may also have read press reports about Jimmy and Holly already having a mutual friend in former Miss Universe Francesca Hung. What's more, Daily Mail Australia previously reported Jimmy was instantly attracted to Holly after 'falling for her infectious smile', citing a production insider. All these factors could have contributed to her being the early front-runner, without the need for insider information. Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 for comment.
