Ex-Eastenders star Melissa Suffield shared another empowering body confidence post on her Instagram on Friday as she urged her followers to 'love yourself'. 

The actress, 28, who played Lucy Beale on the soap, uploaded a lingerie snap where she showed off her post-partum figure 17 months after the birth of her son River. 

Melissa said women shouldn't shy away from being confident and proud of their physiques instead of 'self loathing because that's what societal structure says'.

Taking to Instagram, Melissa looked lovely in the mustard yellow bralet and matching knickers as she posed in front of her bookcase in her living room. 

In a lengthy caption, she wrote: '"Urgh, I can't stand her, just something about her. She really thinks she's all that."

Melissa went on to say how hypocritical it is to 'preach self care and mindfulness' but then 'have an issue with it when that turns into a love and appreciation for ourselves'.

 The former soap star continued: 'We'd spend time with ourselves and realise that we're actually c**p and have it turn into self loathing? Weird.
