The new season of The Block will begin next month which will see fans of the renovation show taking on favourite former contestants.

And it seems producers of the Channel Nine ratings juggernaut are looking at new sites outside of Victoria - where the show has been based for the past 10 years.

On Saturday, Sydney Morning Herald 'confirmed' that producers of the show have been 'scoping out potential sites for a future seasons of the show in Byron Bay.'

One local claimed to the publication that a property he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars renovating was to be knocked for the show. 

However, it was reported that 'no deals have been signed' in regards to moving the production from it's current base of Melbourne to the celebrity resort town.

While Byron Bay is being considered, according to the publication there are other locations outside of the Victorian capital that are also being looked at as a potential new sites.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.
