Cody Simpson narrowly missed out on a chance to swim at the Tokyo Olympics earlier this year.
But that certainly didn't dampen the 24-year-old's spirits as he cheered on the Australian Olympic swim team from his couch on Sunday.
Posting to Instagram, Cody uploaded a series of clips of himself barracking for his homeland team as they won gold.

'Swim, swim, swim,' Cody yelled from the couch.
As he turned his attention towards the result, Cody was clearly elated.
'Yeah we did it, first one! World record!' he exclaimed.
