In the clip, Lasso, a peppy soccer coach from the states, walked into his AFC Richmond bosses office with a hearty, 'Howdy y'all!' 

'What do you say to a cocktail coach Lasso,' Hannah Waddingham's character Rebecca Welton asked.

'Oh, the same thing I'd say to Diane Sawyer if she ever asked me out on a date — yes please,' Lasso quipped back.

Diane proved to be in on the ask as she shared a clip of the episode to her nearly one million social media followers.
