Television legend Phil Lambert has died. 

Lambert, who is best remembered as Hey Hey It's Saturday's floor manager 'Lucky Phil' passed away over the weekend at the age of 71, his family has confirmed. 

No cause of death has been confirmed.

Lambert worked at Channel Nine's GTV Melbourne for five decades, and was the station's longest-serving employee prior to his retirement in 2019. 

He served behind-the-scenes on many programs at Nine, primarily working within the camera department and staging.   

The beloved star rose to fame in the 1970s an 'accidental' star on Hey Hey It's Saturday - a sketch show which was known for breaking the fourth wall with improvisational-style comedy.
