Britney Spears has told fans that she has taken up painting after feeling 'overwhelmed' at all the change going on in her life, amid her controversial conservatorship battle with father Jamie Spears.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Spears called her father Jamie 'threatening and scary' and has filed to remove him as the conservator of her estate, requesting that CPA Jason Rubin take over.

Meanwhile, a source had claimed to The Sun that Spears wants the new conservator to 'investigate' Jamie's finances as 'money is missing' from her $60M fortune.

Speaking to her fans via Instagram on the same day, the 39-year-old pop singer shared a video of her freestyle painting on a large piece of what paper at her home, hinting that it was helping her through the stressful situation.

'As you guys know there’s a lot of change going on in my life at the moment,' Spears told her 32.6M followers, adding: 'And today I was feeling overwhelmed so I went to Michael's and got white paper and paint.'

Tellingly, Spears said, 'This is an expression of how I'm feeling at the moment … rebellious… colorful…bright…bold …spontaneous…magical…so obviously showing my true colors.'

The 'rebellious' post comes after the pop star's lawyer Matt Rosengart filed a motion to have Jamie removed and have Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Jason Rubin appointed in his place.

The new legal documents accuse Jamie of making his daughter's life hell, and describe her current situation as 'traumatizing, insane and depressing' while also painting a portrait of a financially irresponsible conservator, according to TMZ.

Britney's lawyer Matt Rosengart has requested Rubin, who practices out of Southern California, be appointed as conservator of her estate, citing his experience in handling financial and elder abuse cases in the past.
