The release of the Ana de Armas-starring biopic Blonde, which will be centered around the life of Marilyn Monroe, has been pushed back to 2022.
The news about the Netflix movie's delay was first reported by Variety, which noted that the upcoming feature was not given a set release date.
The project has been in development ever since 2010 and is taken from the 2000 novel of the same name, which was written by Joyce Carol Oates.

The 33-year-old actress will portray a fictionalized version of the iconic actress in the forthcoming feature.
Adrien Brody and Bobby Cannavale are set to portray two of the actress' husbands, Arthur Miller and Joe DiMaggio, respectively.
Monroe's mother, Gladys Pearl Baker, will be played by Julianne Nicholson.
Several other performers, including Caspar Phillipson, Sarah Paxton and Scoot McNairy, will appear in the feature.
