The official trailer for the soon-to-be-released film The Card Counter was released to Focus Pictures' official YouTube account on Tuesday.
The feature, which stars Oscar Isaac, is centered around a gambler and former convict who attempts to dissuade a young man who is set on taking revenge on a mutual enemy.
The flick was written and directed by Paul Schrader, who is known for collaborating with Martin Scorcese on projects such as Taxi Driver and Raging Bull.

The trailer begins with William Tell, portrayed by the 42-year-old actor, entering a hotel room and covering everything in it in white sheets while ruminating on the emotional weight he has had to carry.
The gambler then enters a casino and encounters La Linda, played by Tiffany Haddish, who proposes a partnership between the two.
A flashback to Tell's prison stay is shown, and it is revealed that he learned how to count cards while incarcerated.
The former convict is seen speaking to Cirk, portrayed by Tye Sheridan, and tells him that poker 'is all about waiting...then something happens.'
