Miranda Lambert shared on Thursday that her 'sweet' Golden Retriever Jessi had died, though no cause of death has been revealed.

The 37-year-old country artist announced her dog's passing with a series of images throughout their 13 1/2 years together, after she rescued she and her brother from the side of the road when they were just six weeks old.

'It's so hard to let them go but the love is worth it,' she said in an emotional tribute post, while reflecting on the first day she became a dog mom.
