His primped persona makes just as many headlines as his incredible sporting career.

And speaking to Men's Health Australia for their September issue, Shane Warne admitted that he doesn't mind being called vain and takes pride in his appearance. 

The 51-year-old retired cricketer, who is open about getting hair transplants, revealed why he refuses to go bald and what other cosmetic enhancements he's had done.

'I take pride in my appearance. I always try to dress nicely. Yes, I go to the dentist regularly and get my teeth whitened,' Shane said about his grooming regimen. 

Shane, who is an ambassador for Advanced Hair Studio and gets hair transplants, said that he 'didn't like going bald' and could not 'rock' a bald head like Bruce Willis.

'I decided to do something about it because I think it makes you look older,' he told Men's Health.

The father of three added that he doesn't care if people 'take the mickey' out of him. 

'They can call me vain because it doesn't worry me in the slightest. Because in my mind it's always been look good, feel good.' 

Shane told The Daily Telegraph's Confidential last year that he was once very self-conscious about his thinning
