Former Olympian sprinter Dean Capobianco has sold his four-bedroom home in Sydney's beachside suburb of Clovelly for over $5.4m, over $1M above its price guide.   

The property was meant to go to auction on August 28 with a price guide of $4.5M, but instead sold on Saturday after just 10 days on the market, according to realestate.com.au

The retired athlete, who competed in the 1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta games, and his wife, Jules, had  purchased the property in 2009 for $1.46million and spent an additional $200,000 on a further extension deeper into the block.
