While promoting his new movie Stillwater, Matt Damon made headlines when he admitted in an interview with The Sunday Times that he only stopped using the gay slur f****t a few months ago.

When he used the word in front of his kids, one of his daughters wrote, 'a very long, beautiful treatise on how that word is dangerous. I said, "I retire the f-slur!" I understood.' 

Several celebrities and writers took to Twitter to respond to the actor's surprising revelation, including Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen.
