The Weeknd's new music video Take My Breath was reportedly pulled from IMAX theaters at the last minute over concerns of how the 'intense strobe lighting' could cause seizures in epileptics.

The 31-year-old Canadian crooner took to Twitter on Wednesday to confirm Variety's report that the video was supposed to premiere Thursday before screenings of The Suicide Squad.

The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) has only teased a few images and footage from the video including a clip called "'The Dawn is Coming,' which sounds like the song's intro.

On Monday night, the Oscar-nominated songwriter posted a Tokyo Olympics promo for the Team USA Women's Track & Field team, which features a sample from Take My Breath.

It was in that post that The Weeknd announced that the full-length music video for Take My Breath will premiere this Friday at 12am EST.
