Tom Daley showed off his finished Team GB cardigan at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Thursday.

The British diver, 27, who claimed a  gold medal in the men's synchronised 10m platform last week, looked delighted as he showcased the garment's Team GB and Olympic logos, having delighted fans all over the world by knitting poolside.

Posting on his Made With Love By Tom Daley knitting page, he wrote: 'When I got to Tokyo, I wanted to make something that would remind me of the Olympics to look back on in the future.

'I designed a pattern for the colour work that would signify everything about these games!

'On the back I went for a classic @teamgb logo, the shoulders have a flag and GBR on them. For the front I wanted to keep it simple and I tried my best to embroider TOKYO in Japanese!What do you think?! 

The star, who has previously auctioned off a jumper in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity, is now fundraising again in memory of his beloved father Robert Daley, who died following a battle with brain cancer in 2011 aged 40.

He said: 'Since my knitting page is gaining momentum, I wanted to take the opportunity to try and raise some money for the @thebraintumourcharity in memory of my Dad! Any donations would be greatly appreciated.'

Tom has gained an army of new fans for his knitting antics at the delayed games, and was seen  was seen crafting the cardigan poolside as he attended the Tokyo 2020 men's 3m springboard diving final on Tuesday. 

Tom looked focused as he sat in the stands in his Team GB kit, watching teammate Jack Laugher score a bronze medal.

The star showcased his crafting skills as he focused on the cream garment, adorned with the Team GB logo and the colourful Olympic rings.

Tom was also seen with ice strapped to his triceps, as he recovered from a training session and took in the Olympic action.  

The sports star is preparing for his individual competition in the men's 10m platform, which begins on Friday. 

Tom recently revealed he was making a dog sweater in the viral photo of him knitting in the stands during the women's diving final at the Tokyo Olympics.   

Responding to the viral snap with a picture of what he was making, he wrote on his Instagram Story on his page Made With Love By Tom Daley: 'For those asking what I'm making here ... I am making a dog jumper for @izzythe.frenchie.'

He later shared the finished piece for the social media famed dog with his followers 

The star also revealed he was working on a Team GB cardigan,, sharing snaps of himself working on the masterpiece during a break in training.      

Last week Tom revealed he had knitted an emotional keepsake to forever remind him of his first gold medal at Tokyo 2020 - a customised gold medal pouch.

The British sportsman broke down in tears as he and diving partner Matty Lee triumphed in the 10m synchronized platform event on Monday - his first gold medal in four Olympic games.

In honour of his pivotal moment at the games, Tom took to his knitting and crocheting Instagram page - Made With Love By Tom Daley - to reveal the medal pouch, which bears the Union
