A new teaser for season four of the Netflix show Stranger Things was released on Friday morning.
During the brief teaser it was also announced that the show would not come back until 2022. This means season four will debut almost three years after the July 2019 release of Season three.
There are only a few brief moments seen from season four as most of the clip shows old footage of the popular series that is set in 1980s Indiana and focuses on a group of friends who witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits.

Netflix announced in October last year that Stranger Things had resumed production on season four after the COVID-19 pandemic halted filming earlier in the year.
The first Season 4 trailer came out in February. That showed that Hopper, played by David Harbour, is back. In May there was a clip that hinted Dr Martin Brenner, played by Matthew Modine., could return.

A month after Stranger Things started production on Season 4 in February 2020, it was suspended due to the escalating coronavirus pandemic. It resumed last September.
Season three ended with Joyce Byers, played by Winona Ryder, leaving Indiana with her two sons, played by Charlie Heaton and Noah Schnapp, as well as Eleven (Brown).
