Linda Evans was the blonde beauty everyone aspired to resemble in the 1980s when her nighttime TV soap opera Dynasty with Joan Collins and John Forsythe was a smash hit.

And on Wednesday the actress, 78, proved she still looks sensational as she posted a rare and beautiful portrait by photographer Jonas Mohr where she appeared decades younger.

The Connecticut native added an inspirational caption: 'Strong women stand with each other during challenging times. United, we can do anything.'

The pinup has been honest about her take on aging.

The star, who was married twice - to Stan Herman (1975–1979) and to John Derek (1968–1974) - said in 2000 that she will not get any more plastic surgery.

Linda - who used to date singer Yanni, 66 - admitted that after Dynasty ended she had a 'facelift and Laser surgery to get rid of the lines around my eyes.'

But she said the cosmetic work has faded: 'The trouble with plastic surgery is that after 10 years gravity wins out and you have to have it done again.'

The star is active on Instagram with almost 20,000 followers as she looks back on her past successes and chats about maturing.

And earlier this year she posted a flashback image from the 1980s where she was wearing a red swimsuit.

In her caption Evans talked about the passing of time.

'When you get to be my age, you relish each decade of your life with a sense of wonder and awe for every summer that comes again. The escapades and adventures may take on new meaning,' said the looker.

'But with sunshine on my shoulders and my heart wide open for change, this season is as promising as ever. ✨'
