FASD can cause physical and neurological problems, as well as issues in behavior and learning, and is caused by alcohol consumption in pregnancy.
'We are honing in on women who are trying to conceive or who are pregnant or who are breastfeeding and asking them to avoid alcohol because of the research, which is saying that FASD is such a real thing that is affecting our babies,' she says.
