Married At First Sight star and former AFL player Jake Edwards recently stepped away from the spotlight and completed a short stay at a wellness retreat.
And now the 33-year-old has reflected on the past year, saying things are back on track for him and he's the 'happiest he's ever been'.
In a candid Instagram post on Monday, Jake admitted: 'To say my last 12 months has been a roller coaster would be an understatement.'
Speaking out: On Monday, Married At First Sight's Jake Edwards revealed he's the 'happiest he's ever been' after a 'rollercoaster 12 months' and a stay at a wellness retreat
'If you had of told me 12 months ago that I would be living in Queensland, working on a new career path, vegetarian, no intoxication and all of this after going away to spend four weeks living with monks with no distraction to find myself once again, I would have told you to get stuffed and you're delusional,' he explained.
The reality star went on to say that he's the 'happiest he's ever been'.
'At this very moment I am the happiest I have ever been. I'm the best version of myself and I am so proud of the soul searching and confronting work I have done on myself to feel content, happy, grounded and at peace,' he said.

Jake said that he's achieved his happiness by journaling his emotions daily, eating a better diet and going vegetarian, reading for an hour each morning and chanting - a practice he learned while staying with the monks.
'Everything happens for a reason,' he said.
