Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's post-National Television Award hangovers live on This Morning have become the stuff of side-splitting legend over the past decade.

Yet this year, fans will sadly miss out on watching the much-loved duo nurse their sore heads on the magazine show as Holly, 40, announced that they will be hungover in peace as they do not work on Fridays and this year's rescheduled event is happening in London this Thursday.

Speaking to host Joel Dommett about the show on Wednesday, Holly and Phil delightedly noted: 'The great thing is, for the first time... It's on a Thursday! So we don't have to wake up!'

Over the years, Holly and Phil have left fans in hysterics when they have arrived in an embattled state, with iconic moments including in 2013, when they were found slumped on the floor, 2016's show when they arrived in their clothes from the night before and 2018, when Holly nearly vomited.

Now, we take a look at Holly and Phil's most iconic This Morning hangovers....

2013: FLOOR SLUMPING AND BLANKET CUDDLING

Back in 2013, Holly and Phil enjoyed a wild night of partying at the National Television Awards after scooping the Most Popular Daytime Programme gong for the third consecutive year and the next day, they were feeling more than a little worse for wear as they got back to the day job.

Crawling out from behind the sofas where they had been sprawled on the floor in a drunken heap, the hungover pair slowly stood up and wearily rubbed their eyes as the effects of their raucous evening took hold.

Phillip quipped: 'Hols, you've found your shoes! We're going to have to do it now.' Visibly grimacing, the television presenter rubbed her eyes as she said: 'Can we do it really quietly? It's kind of getting worse.'

The silver-haired host added: 'I woke up alright this morning. Obviously. I slept on the sofa all right, had a cup of tea and now it's getting progressively worse. I've just had a five-minute nap.'

Admitting her hangover was taking hold, a surprisingly fresh-faced Holly pleaded with her viewers to 'help' her through the day, before the pair went on to thank the This Morning viewers for casting their votes.

Holly joked: 'Please don't judge me today, help me. And help me to help him. But we had the best time ever!' Phillip added: 'It was a lovely night.'

2014: BOOZE AND BUNK BEDS

The duo continued to stay on trend the next year, as they made a bleary-eyed appearance on the show while cradling cups of tea and Holly clutching their gong.

The fun did not stop there, as they then clambered into bunk beds, where they were surrounded by booze - with Phillip holding on to a bottle of tequila.

Holly could barely contain her giggles throughout the appearance.

2016: THE DAY OF THE SAME CLOTHES

This year featured possibly their most iconic hangover moment to date.

Nursing sore heads, the pair went straight to work following their night out, in which they celebrated winning Live Magazine show, wearing the same outfits they wore to the bash.

'Should we be honest?' Holly said while still wearing her glamorous white gown. 'I haven't been home yet. We came straight here.' Covering up her outfit with a giant cushion, Phillip made a barefoot Holly explain a little secret of hers.

'I'm covering up mint sauce on my dress,' she said. 'This is a lovely dress, but can you see the yellow stains? It's mustard and piccalilli, before you jump to any conclusions.' Giggling away, the pair admitted they went to Ant McPartlin's house after the event, where they played Pie-Face the game.

'I got mustard and piccalilli in my eye,' said Holly, before Phillip said he got hit in the face with chilli sauce.

'We're in a mess,' Phillip said on the show the next day. 'We can only apologise. We celebrated on behalf of each and every one of you. Neither of us should be on television.'
