Tom Cruise resumed filming for Mission Impossible 7 on Thursday, as he parachuted from a helicopter in the Lake District.

The actor, 59, who has faced numerous delays to production of the spy film due to the Covid pandemic, proved that no stunt is too big as he completed the same jump four times to ensure director Christopher McQuarrie landed the perfect shot.

This is just the latest in an array of stunts that Tom has performed for the latest Mission Impossible film, with the actor previously seen clinging to a train for a daring scene in Yorkshire.

For the dramatic scene Tom was sent hurtling into the uneven Lake District terrain before safely landing in a field, with crew members waiting in a car to take him to the next filming destination.

It comes after Mission: Impossible 7 filming was reportedly paused again in June due to a positive Covid test with crew members speculating it could be Tom.

Despite there being 'no proof' to back up the idle talk, it has been claimed that people are gossiping it could be Tom due to his alleged absence on set.

The actor was previously said to have been forced to self-isolate for two weeks after 14 people on the UK set of the film tested positive for coronavirus.
