Britney Spears' boyfriend Sam Asghari sent her fans into a frenzy after photos of an impressive diamond ring appeared back-to-back on his Instagram Story on Friday.
The ring in question had the 27-year-old actor's sweet nickname for the 39-year-old pop superstar engraved on the band - sparking engagement rumors across social media.
But Sam shutdown the speculation by insisting that his Instagram account had been 'hacked' and that the ring photos - which have since been deleted - were entirely 'photoshopped.'

Asghari also encouraged his followers to 'calm down' in the text post shared to his Instagram Story.
The happy couple initially met on the set of a music video in 2016 and have been going strong as a pair ever since then.
Earlier this month, Asghari was notably spotted shopping for rings at a Cartier store in Beverly Hills.
According to Page Six, the social media personality made several rounds in the jewelry shop and was seen taking a photo of a particular item.
