Anthony Mackie will star in live-action adaptation of video game Twisted Metal

Anthony Mackie will star as John Doe in a live-action adaptation TV show of the video game Twisted Metal.

The 42-year-old actor will be an executive producer for the collaboration between Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions, which will be in half-hour episodes, Deadline reported.

'We’re thrilled to have Anthony Mackie on board,' PlayStation head Asad Qizilbash said in a statement. 'His ability to blend comedy, action and drama is perfect for the Twisted world we’re creating.'
