Alan Carr admits he is 'always drunk' while away on comedy tour

Alan Carr has joked about his boozy antics while away on tour.

The comedian, 45, joked that he is 'always drunk' while on the road because people line up drinks for him, during an appearance on Friday's This Morning.

Revealing he doesn't stop drinking during his comedy tour, Alan said: 'Because of Chatty Man I'm known for having a drink and they just bring them and line them up.'

Alan Carr's Chatty Man saw him share a beverage with each of his guests, from a trolley full of booze which was positioned next to his chat show sofa.   

To which Alison replied: 'So you're always drunk' and Alan said: 'Yes! And I love it.' 

Despite loving a drink while away on tour, Alan revealed last month that he had to take months off the booze to help hubby Paul Drayton battle his alcohol addiction.

Paul is currently getting help from professionals after falling off the wagon over the summer and injuring his face. 

Alan revealed he had six months off recently that spanned Christmas and New Year, in order to support his partner Paul.

'It was the worst f****ing Christmas I've ever had. And my mother didn't help by offering him a Bailey's and going: "It's only Bailey's – what's the worst that can happen!"' Alan said.
