Daily Mail Australia can reveal the much-anticipated celebrity spin-off has finally been given the green light by Channel 10 and Foxtel and will air next year.

A source at production company Endemol Shine said several well-known personalities had been contacted about appearing on the show.

'Filming will begin in the next few days and will feature some very colourful personalities,' said the source.

According to the insider, producers are looking for famous duos rather than casting celebs and throwing them together as a 'household'.

'Several past cast members from Married At First Sight, Beauty and the Geek and MasterChef are on the whiteboard,' said the spy.
