The Great British Bake Off fans were furious on Tuesday after Channel 4's on demand service All4 was plagued with technical woes.

Fans of the series took to Twitter to vent their rage after being greeted with a message stating the site was unavailable, just minutes before they tuned into the much-anticipated launch show.

Bake Off's 12th series kicked off with a new lineup of bakers heading into the iconic tent for Cake Week, with software developer Tom becoming the first contestant to be eliminated.
