Gemma Arterton was spotted on-set for her new Sky Original show for the first time on Monday, where she was seen transformed into a Sixties siren.

The former Bond girl, 35, took to the streets of Blackpool in a bleach blonde wig and retro-inspired dress as she got to work filming the show, which is a yet-unnamed adaptation of Nick Hornby's best-selling novel Funny Girl.

Gemma looked stunning on-set, as she was seen in costume as Barbara while sporting the time-appropriate ensemble.

Cars from the Sixties milled around the streets while  extras were clad in costume to look straight out of the decade alongside Gemma's flawless look.

Joining Gemma in the Blackpool-based miniseries will be Rupert Everett as Barbara's agent Brian Debehnam, David Threlfall as her father George, and Tom Bateman as dangerously charming actor Clive.

Tom was seen on-set puffing a cigarette and looking suitably dashing,
