No Time To Die's Ana De Armas has declared her character Paloma will be the most 'bada**' Bond girl in the film franchise's 59-year history.

In time for the blockbuster's long-awaited debut on Thursday, she told The Sun: 'Paloma is a really complete character. She's definitely something else that I don't think we've seen in other Bond girls in previous movies. She's a lot of fun — very active, very bada**.'

Her debut in the series comes as Daniel Craig gears up to retire from his longtime role, having played 007 a whopping five times.

'It was so easy working with him because we had become friends,' Ana gushed, 'So I didn't feel out of place being part of a huge production that you have with a Bond film.

'I love Daniel. He's relentless. It doesn't matter how exhausted he is, or how many broken bones he has, he still shows up and goes to work every day. It's so inspiring.'

It comes after the 53-year-old joked he is in the nude 'most the way through' his final stint - and it took him a year to get in shape for the part.

In an interview with Radio Times, Daniel discussed the film and why he thinks a female actress shouldn't replace him as Bond.

Now in his fifties, Daniel talked about how what would have taken three months to train for his shirtless scenes when he took on Bond aged 38 in 2006 film Casino Royale, took him a year.

'Getting into shape for it was a lot harder than 15 years ago. Back then, I did it in three months, but this time, it took me about a year,' he said.

But Daniel was determined to maintain his chiselled physique for No Time To Die, and when asked if there will any racy scenes with his Bond girls, he quipped: 'Oh, I’m naked most of the way through the movie.

'He’s more naked than the women; I’ve designed it that way. I mean, look at Casino Royale.'

Elsewhere, Daniel insisted that James Bond shouldn't be played by a female actress because they deserve their own roles that haven't been written for men.
