Following the announcement that The Witcher will make its much-anticipated return in December, Netflix dropped a first look clip for season two on Saturday.

In the spellbinding preview, Geralt of Riviera (Henry Cavill, 38), a monster hunter for hire who was mutated and trained from an early age to slay deadly beasts, throws knifes at a painting with his old friend Nivellen (Kristofer Hivju, 42).

'Anything else? I've got nothing to hide,' begins Geralt.

'You got me there,' Nivellen chuckles sinisterly. 'Magic knives,' before hurling one of them towards the makeshift painting.

A previous trailer for season two dropped back in July, picking up where the first season left off.

Geralt has finally met up with the exiled Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) and their relationship is expected to be the main focus of the fantasy drama's upcoming season, according to IndieWire.
