The singer and the actress, both 35, have been together for 17 years, including three years of marriage.
Their rep announced the news on Monday: 'After 17 years together, Miguel and Nazanin Mandi have decided to separate and have been for some time now. The couple both wish each other well,' via People.

The news comes after Miguel wished Nazanin a happy birthday two weeks ago with a touching note.
The artist wrote: 'Happy birthday to the most beautiful woman inside and out @nazaninmandi. Play more than words by extreme,' adding a crown emoji.
Interestingly enough, Nazanin shared a slideshow of professional snaps with two quotes included in the series.
One of them read: 'Do right by me and ima be in your corner for life... lover or friend' while the second one said 'You gotta understand that everybody ain't got the same heart and mind as you...'
She added her own caption to the second quote in her 'SeptemberFeels slideshow': '...And that's ok. Once understood, you learn where to place people in your life... IF any place all. Empathy plays a key role for me... perception is relative. When key values don't align, I kindly position people where I see fit...'
