After an investigation, Chrisley Knows Best's Todd and Julie Chrisley were found to be 'unfairly targeted' in their tax evasion case due to their celebrity status.

The Atlanta couple's attorney Christopher S. Anulewicz said in a statement that the Georgia Department of Revenue 'utilized unauthorized means to pursue information about them.'
Much of the corruption was due to the DOR's Office of Special Investigations former director Joshua Waites, who resigned from his $107K/year position last year after lying about having a degree in criminal justice.
The investigation uncovered pictures of Waites posing on Todd and Julie's seized furniture and filing an improper request with the US Treasury to access their bank accounts.
