A judge has ruled that Kelly Clarkson gets to keep her Montana ranch, which she purchased at auction in 2019 for $10.4million.

The Voice coach has been fighting with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock over the property during the settlement of their divorce.

He has argued that because the home was purchased during their marriage, he has a right to it, according to TMZ.

But she is the sole person on the title and also it states in her prenup that she gets to keep everything she bought alone during their marriage.

A judge ruled in August the prenup needs to stay in place.

Kelly was declared legally single in late September.

To complicate matters, Blackstock has been living at the ranch and does not want to move. It is at the moment his primary residence.

Blackstock had wanted to split their properties 50/50, and he wanted half of her income that she earned throughout their marriage. But a judge has reportedly stopped his request. 

Kelly has been the more successful of the two with a singing career, and also a talk show and a role on The Voice. She is reportedly worth over $45million.    

In August it was claimed Clarkson wants to sell the Montana ranch.

Sources told TMZ that Clarkson's attorney Laura Wasser previously asked the judge for permission to sell the property, to which Blackstock's lawyers objected, with no ruling on the prenuptial agreement at the time.

Earlier this summer it was claimed Kelly  'let out a scream' of joy, with fellow coaches Blake Shelton and Ariana Grande joining in, when she learned her prenup was upheld.
