The publication reports, U.S. TV distributor Dynamic Television has purchased worldwide distribution rights to the Australian crime thriller.
'Savage River' is a compelling and suspenseful mystery and I look forward to working with the extremely talented Katherine Langford in the lead role,' Director Jocelyn Moorhouse told Variety.
While ABC is yet to confirm more details about the series, Katherine's Instagram feed which has documented her time Down Under may be a telling sign.
In June, she shared footage of the outback road as she made her way through the scenic rural property.
The show is said to be filming in Melbourne, Victoria.
