Lisa Snowdon has 'made peace' with the fact she will never have biological children with her fiancé George Smart.

The star, 49, candidly said in a new interview that 'being a mum wasn't meant for her in this life' due to her early menopause at 44.

She explained that although 'it's possible for some women to have a baby in perimenopause' she knew she 'probably wouldn't be able to have a biological child' with George, 41.

Speaking to The Sun, Lisa said: 'We'd discussed it in the past, but hadn't started trying, so I knew we'd have to explore other options in the future if we did want to become parents.

'George was brilliant about it and told me we could look into alternative ways in the future. It was a lot to come to terms with.'

Lisa also revealed that her early menopause saw her pile on 'around three stone in a year' and also caused 'brain fog, anxiety and fits of rage'.

She said: 'In 2018, I went to the doctor for blood tests, which was when I got the bombshell that I was perimenopausal. It all finally made sense, but it was hard to process.'

As a result, she was put on HRT by her doctor and also given a bioidentical progesterone that she applied to her arm for the next 18 months with positive results.

However by 2020 Lisa was 'suffering from insomnia' and struggled with the thought of being intimate with her partner, who she said was 'so supportive'.

After being prescribed oestrogen in March, Lisa noted that her 'brain frog' and 'hot flushes' calmed down.

Speaking in 2019, Lisa said the perimenopause left her having 'out-of-body experiences'.
