Olivia Munn was seen grappling with her inner thoughts in the trailer for the upcoming drama film Violet, which was shared on Relativity Media's official YouTube account on Monday.

The 41-year-old actress portrays the character of the same name in Justine Bateman's upcoming directorial debut, which also features performances from Justin Theroux and Luke Bracey.

The forthcoming feature previously had its world debut at the South By Southwest festival in March, and it is currently set to be made available to the public in the near future.

Violet's trailer begins with the title character examining various parts of her life while her inner voice, played by Theroux, chastises her for her perceived bad behavior. 

As the figure prepares to go home, the voice then calmly reassures her, stating: 'There. Don't you feel better now?'

When having lunch with a friend, the character notes that 'the committee in your head that tells you you're a terrible person' has been greatly affecting her behavior.

When her pal appears not to understand what she is talking about, Violet's inner voice criticizes her behavior, stating: 'You're a loser.'

Munn's character then appears to try and get her mind off of her thoughts, although she confesses to an offscreen figure that 'the way I've always been doing things just doesn't work now.'
