Anastacia was revealed to be underneath the mask, leaving the show's judges - Dannii Minogue, Dave Hughes, Jackie 'O' Henderson and Urzila Carlson - all stunned. Meanwhile, Dolly placed runner-up, with Em Rusciano revealed as the celebrity behind the mask. Top spot: Vampire was crowned the winner on Tuesday's highly anticipated finale of The Masked Singer Australia Earlier in the episode, Axle Whitehead was revealed as Mullet, proudly showing off his mullet haircut after taking off his mask. Jackie, 46, had been convinced Anastacia was behind the mask for weeks, while Dannii also changed her guess to the I'm Outta Love hitmaker. Ironically, Anastacia, 53, admitted she was 'terrified' of her realistic mask, and questioned whether she'd actually appear on the show after seeing the costume. 'I was terrified to be the Vampire. I was like, "They're gonna hate me,"' she laughed. The American songstress said she decided to appear on the singing show after the coronavirus pandemic effectively shut the entertainment industry down. 'The industry is completely frozen. And that is just what our reality is as performers,' she said, becoming emotional. 'We have no stages to go on, we can't have crowds, and I understand that because I want to keep people safe, but I miss doing my job and I really, really miss singing. 'And so this was such a beautiful, like, get out of jail free card. I don't know when I'm gonna be able to tour. I'm hopeful, but I might be 75 by the time I get on the stage.' Em, 42, agreed, and broke down in tears as she spoke about being able to perform on a stage again. 'This was surprisingly emotional. I haven't been able to sing live in 18 months. I'm a live performer, so this has been magic,' she said. She added: 'This has just put all the magic back in my blood. This has been the best experience of my life.' More to come.
