Britney Spears says she's writing a book about a girl who is murdered and turns into a ghost.

The pop star, 39, shared a bit about her latest creative project in a lengthy Instagram post on Friday, outlining a saga about a soul trapped between worlds.

Spears explained: 'I’m writing a book about a girl⁣ who was murdered yet her ghost gets stuck in limbo because of trauma and pain and she doesn’t know how to cross over to the world she use to know !!!!'

Her new idea comes amid word her father Jamie Spears will be deposed over claims he mismanaged her finances and spied on her, exclusively reported by DailyMail.com

'After being stuck in limbo for three years, she is a ghost who thrives off of her reflection in her mirror for existence!!!!

'She has no one she can trust but something happens and she figures out how to cross over to the world where her family is !!!!

'Coming out of the limbo she has a decision to make … greet the same people who murdered her or create a whole new life !!!!

'She no longer needs her mirror … she found a portal by citing certain prayers constantly that give her the insight and gift to not be scared anymore and come out of limbo … but what I will leave to the IMAGINATION is what she does when she crosses over …… besides learning to write her name again!'

Britney has some experience with fiction.

She and mother Lynne co-wrote the young adult novel A Mother's Gift, released in 2001.

The book, loosely based on Spears' own life, follows 14-year-old Holly Faye Lovell who leaves her small town in Mississippi for the big city, after winning a prestigious music scholarship.

Spears' story seems to be inspired by her own saga, having been 'trapped' under the supervision of a conservatorship for the past 13 years.

Only recently her father was suspended from his role as conservator of her estate.

News Britney's legal team intends to depose her father and security manager who allegedly monitored and recorded the pop princess in her bedroom emerged on Friday exclusively via DailyMail.com.

A source close to the sensational conservatorship court case said Britney's lawyer Mattclahew Rosengart will soon be requesting subpoenas and interviewing Jamie Spears and Robin Greenhill under oath.

The attorney plans to grill them about alleged 'financial mismanagement and dissipation of funds' and 'the monitoring and recording of her phone and placing a listening device under her bed,' the source said.

The legal wrangling in Britney's conservatorship case has ratcheted up a notch after a security manager hired by her father confessed in a New York Times documentary to the shocking snooping, which he says was conducted on Jamie's orders.
