Streams of Billie Eilish's theme song for the latest James Bond instalment No Time To Die have plummeted, according to reports.

Writing in his Showbiz 411 column on Sunday, Roger Friedman claimed: 'The languid record sold just 6,100 copies last week all streaming, almost no downloads.'

However, upon its February 2020 release, 19-year-old Billie's song was a hit, scoring the biggest opening week of all time for a Bond theme and slotting straight into the number one position on the UK's Official Singles Chart while racking up 10.6 million streams.

Suggesting the significant drop-off in streams is due to No Time To Die's much-delayed release in the wake of the pandemic, Friedman added: 'The release of the film didn't do anything to revive the theme song by Billie.

'Originally released in February 2020 and not much of a hit, the producers should have replaced it during the hiatus or asked for a livelier remix.'

MailOnline has reached out to representatives for Spotify for comment.

However it's not just the Daniel Craig-fronted blockbuster's theme song that Friedman fears for.
