John Bishop has landed a Saturday night comedy show on ITV.

The comedian will front The John Bishop Show, which will see him interview 'the hottest names in film, TV, sport, music and more in front of a live studio audience'.

Co-produced with So Tv, the team behind The Graham Norton Show on BBC One, the show will also feature stand-up from John and other comics.

John, 54, told The Mirror: 'We've been discussing making a Saturday night show for ITV for a while and I am so glad that we are finally going to be doing it.

'We want it to be up to date and topical, whilst also fitting the energy and fun that Saturday nights on ITV is known for.'

The show has been commissioned for six episodes and will start when he
