Grammy-award winning singer Ruth Pointer was unmasked and eliminated on The Masked Singer on Wednesday after performing as Cupcake on the hit Fox show.

The 75-year-old Pointer Sisters singer performed the Bruno Mars hit Finesse while dressed in a giant purple Cupcake costume with blue and purple swirled frosting as Group B contestants took the stage. 

Ruth stumped panelists Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger during the one-hour show that featured a Date Night theme.

Cupcake revealed to the panelists during a post-performance speed dating quiz that she considered herself the Black Elizabeth Taylor because she has been married multiple times. 

Nicole, 43, told her she loved her performance. When Nicole asked her if she would give her past self some advice Cupcake said, 'Date don't marry.'

Before Cupcake's unmasking show host Nick Cannon, 40, wearing a sequined top and a black fedora, gave the panelist one final chance to guess her identity. 

Ken, 52, said something in his gut was telling him that she was Tina Turner.  Robin said he thought she was comedian Leslie Jones. Jenny McCarthy, 48, guessed she was Grace Jones.

Only Nicole guessed correctly after switching from her First Impression guess of Roberta Flack. 

Ruth after her unmasking revealed that initially there were going to be two Cupcakes on the show, but her sister Anita, 73, couldn't compete because of health issues, so she decided to compete alone.

Nick then asked Ruth to address her ailing sister.

'Sweetheart, I did what I came to do, and I love you and can't wait to get home and support you,' Ruth said.

Robin, 44, told Ruth that he was a big fan of hers. 

'I'm a big fan of the show, I've been watching it the whole time,' Ruth said.

The show began with the Banana Split duo with the Banana played at the piano while the Ice Cream sang 'Cry Me A River' by Michael Bublé. 

The judges gave them a standing ovation.

'Wow, talk about dessert,' said Nick after the duo's performance.
