Elizabeth Hurley has revealed she has no plans to ditch her bikinis anytime soon, insisting her confidence has continued to grow with age.

The actress, 56, has proved to be her own best advert for her eponymous swimwear line and often models the looks for her 2.1 million followers.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Liz also revealed the secrets behind her incredible figure - admitting that she doesn't restrict herself with strict diets or vigorous workouts.

Liz - who has partnered with The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) for their Breast Cancer Campaign - admitted she finds it harder to stay in shape than she used to, but doesn't let her change in appearance bother her.

She confessed: 'I’m at least 10 pounds heavier than I was 20 years ago but I don’t care.

'I probably eat a bit more now but I don’t eat takeaways and only drink sodas once in a blue moon. Life’s too short to be on a super strict diet.

'My weakness is peanut butter - if it’s in the house, I’ll stick my finger in the jar every time I walk past it!'

Discussing the secrets behind her phenomenal physique, she added: 'I love working in my garden and am never happier than when wielding a strimmer. I walk my dogs a lot too.

'I don’t do any set exercise but can’t sit still for long. I actually eat quite a lot, but very little junk or processed foods and don’t drink much alcohol. I try to eat lots of vegetables and never eat between meals.'

Liz is also kept busy rushing around working on her Elizabeth Hurley Beach collection, and insisted she won't stop modelling the looks anytime soon.

She revealed: 'I love modelling my collections and actually think feeling comfortable and confident comes with age.

'There might be a time when I don’t want to model swimwear and move onto voluminous kaftans, but currently I’m still enjoying it.'

While Liz has cracked the modelling world, her son Damian - who she shared with late ex Steve Bing - has followed in her footsteps.

Speaking about her son's career, she gushed: 'I’m extremely proud of Damian and his modelling career.

'He has achieved all his success through his own hard work and I am his biggest supporter and cheerleader!'

Liz has spent the month speaking out about the signs of breast cancer in a bid to encourage more women to check themselves.

The cause is one close to her heart, as Liz sadly lost her grandmother to breast cancer in the early Nineties.

Offering advice to women who may be reluctant to examine themselves for sign of cancer, Liz told MailOnline: 'Whilst it can be scary or uncomfortable to check your breasts, it’s key to early detection and improving survival rates.

'Self-checking is really important; I have personally met many women who have discovered lumps themselves, including several of my close friends.'

She continued: 'By familiarising yourself with your own breasts, it should become easier to spot, or feel, any changes.

'I self-check every month, in front of the mirror. I would advise everyone to do the same and to try and see it as part of your monthly routine, rather than as something to fear.'

Liz's comments come after research released by The Estée Lauder Companies revealed that half of all women aren’t checking their breasts regularly enough.
