Katie Piper recalled the time Janet Street Porter amusingly confused her for Billie Piper when she first joined the Loose Women panel.
During an appearance on the ITV show on Friday, the activist, 38, revealed journalist Janet, 74, had mistaken her for former singer and actress Billie, 39, and called her the wrong name multiple times - even nicknaming her 'Bill' on one occasion.
Katie shared the awkward moment with her co-stars and confessed she never corrected Janet, joking she 'didn't want to stand up' to her and considered changing her name by deed poll.

Mum-of-two Katie explained: 'I had an awkward moment that happened on this show the last time I was on. I was on with Janet and backstage in the meeting she called me Billie.
'She actually called me Bill at first and I thought, "Is that her new nickname for me?" Then on set she called me Billie again and I realised that she thinks I’m Billie Piper.'
Katie laughed as she said: "At what stage do you correct somebody? I was like, "I think I’m just gonna change it by deed poll now. I don’t want to stand up to Janet."'
Billie found fame in the '90s with hit singles Because We Want To, Girlfriend and Day and Night. She then went on to have success as a TV star, appearing in BBC series Doctor Who, Secret Diary of a Call Girl and currently stars in I Hate Suzie.

Katie, meanwhile, rose to prominence while documenting her experience of being an acid attack victim in a Channel 4 documentary released in 2009, which saw her give up her anonymity a year after she was attacked by an ex-boyfriend.
Since then, Katie has set up her own foundation and actively campaigns to increase awareness of burn victims.
